You own your content and the final product of your apps.
We own the source code and software used to create your apps and mobile websites, which we license to you.
To have complete portability of the source code for your mobile app you would need to own it, which means you would have to pay to develop it from scratch, for each mobile device platform you want to support. You would also have to pay for ongoing updates to the source code and implementation of any new technologies or features that emerge.
For example, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism recently paid to develop a statewide mobile app. They spent $50,000 on the project. The app is nice, but it only runs on iPhone and requires a constant cell signal to function. The state will have to pay for any new features they want to add, and they’ll have to pay to upgrade any components when Apple updates iOS (which it does about four times a year). By building your mobile app and website on the Nomad Platform you get higher quality, better experience, lower cost and greater speed to market. You invest in content, which always belongs to you. We license the tools and delivery platforms to you.
