Nomad provides a software framework for publishing GPS-aware content on mobile devices in a structured format. With Nomad you can create native mobile apps and mobile-optimized websites.
The Nomad platform is more than just the software that runs mobile apps. It includes a full content management system for preparing and configuring mobile travel apps and a set of reusable software components that are combined with content to deliver apps on a variety of mobile devices.
Nomad is not an e-reader in the same sense as Kindle or iBook. These applications only allow users to access content in a flat, linear fashion with some hyperlinks. Nomad stores points of interest and other content in a structured data format, enabling travelers to explore content by proximity, category, theme or a traditional table of contents.
By separating content from the device-specific software, Nomad makes it simple to produce apps across multiple device platforms with the same content. Enhancements to the software framework are automatically shared by all apps across all device platforms.
